Building tighter connections during June Dairy Month

Land O’Lakes celebrates our cooperative model by focusing on the people behind our dairy products

Every June, we raise a glass of milk in honor of our dairy farmers during National Dairy Month. This year, we’re encouraging consumers to share their thanks with our member-owners and offering unique ways for them to meet the people behind the butter (and other dairy products)!

It takes a village of employees working together with our member-owners who cares for the cows that create the milk that becomes the butter, cheese and other dairy products consumers know and love. See how our co-op model is ensuring butter reaches consumers.

We’re helping consumers “meet” our members through videos and sharing facts about how farmers impact our lives outside the dinner table.

This special June Dairy Month website features topics from sustainability and tending the land to educating and raising the next generation of farmers, giving consumers a behind-the-scenes look at what a day in the life looks like on their farms.

Consumers can even cook a few of our members’ favorite recipes, using LAND O LAKES® products.

Doing dairy good

By boosting the foodservice industry and our customers, we help make sure our favorite restaurants stay open and continue to thrive even during COVID-19. How do we do this? By ordering takeout, of course! Throughout June Dairy Month and beyond, we’re encouraging everyone to order takeout from their favorite local restaurants and encourage others to do the same.

Being part of a cooperative means working together to solve challenges, improve lives and livelihoods and support our communities.

Venture37: Advancing global dairy development conversations amid COVID-19

On May 28, our global nonprofit affiliate Land O’Lakes Venture37 hosted a webinar on the importance of the Dairy Sector in East Africa to build resilience amid COVID-19 with the SEEP Network (an international convener and nonprofit). The discussion also introduced the Dairy Nourishes Africa initiative, to create long-term, self-sufficient solutions to the challenges facing Africa by building a more vibrant dairy industry.
