Our communities reach far and wide: but many of the disparities in rural communities can be similar, from coast to coast, like education and hunger. These are just two of the areas that the Land O’Lakes Foundation supports through its giving and product donations. It’s also where you, our direct members and retail-owners, come into the equation.
Through the Land O’Lakes Foundation’s Member Match programs, there are matching funds available to you for eligible donations in your own communities. These extra funds support the good work you’re already doing and have been used by members to support everything from school food pantries to agricultural education programs like FFA or 4H. It’s not too late to make your mark in 2019.
Some donation examples that are eligible:
• Food shelf
• 4-H, FFA program
• Educational institution
• Local library
• City improvement projects
• Fire/Ambulance department
• Public television, radio
• United Way
If you have donated to these causes this year, it’s not too late to submit an application for matching funds. All applications are due by November 30.

Coming on December 2: Direct Donations
Direct member donations may be made by Land O’Lakes on behalf of a dairy member to qualifying tax exempt 501(c)(3) organizations in the form of dollars or a Land O’Lakes dairy product donation. Donations may only be used in cases where Direct Member Matches are not applicable. The Direct Donation Application will be available December 2 in the Community Involvement section of the Member Home page.
