As a farmer-owned cooperative, we celebrate our dairy farmer-owners and ag retailers every day, but especially during National Co-op Month. We have so much to talk about including sharing our farmers’ impact stories, plus how our co-op helps provide support to our members through business solutions, member advocacy support, philanthropic giving and community involvement. Looking Forward: A Year-Long Celebration of Cooperatives
In June 2024, the United Nations General Assembly declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC2025), showcasing how “cooperatives build a better world.” The year-long global campaign will highlight how the cooperative model is effective to overcoming many of the world’s toughest challenges – and how the model can help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The official campaign launch will take place next month in New Delhi, India, during the ICA Global Cooperative Conference and General Assembly.
Land O’Lakes and its non-profit affiliate, Venture37, will participate in the campaign to help improve public understanding of cooperatives, while showcasing how cooperatives can strengthen global goals.
